Every day offers a new opportunity to improve one's self and enrich another person's life.
If every day offered just one such opportunity, what a waste those other moments would be - as
an occupational therapist, every client I see offers a chance to learn and serve. By helping clients participate
in what inspires or holds meaning to them, occupational therapists not only enrich lives, but boost spirits.
Occupational therapy serves the very important role of helping individuals overcome challenges that
keep them from doing activities of importance to their lives. Whether shaving, socializing, or skiing, whatever
holds value to the client can become the therapy of an OT.
For without the ability to engage in that which inspires us, what motivation have we to do hanything else?
